Movie Night: Unbreakable

This post is directed at runners along the Wasatch Front.

The MRC would like to bring the movie Unbreakable to the big screen here in Salt Lake City, specifically Brewvies. One drawback with Brewvies is that everyone would have to be 21. As of now the ticket price would be $10 and would include door prizes such as, shoes, sunglasses and race entries among other prizes. The ticket price could go down, but will not go up. We are looking to have the showing by the first week in March or so and it would be on a Thursday night.

Please express your interest in the poll located on the right sidebar.

I've called a bunch of theaters inquiring about doing the same thing. Then I got too busy and didn't follow-up. If somebody wants to get in touch with me, I'll pass along the info I gathered. I'll help out with organizing too, of course. :]

I know it says Wasatch front residents only but I would love to hang out with you folk. The day could consist of a nice 3 hour run on the front range, burrito eating festival, washed down with some Red Rock brewskies, and then see the show.

I guess I got this movie mixed up with the other "Unbreakable" starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson. I think I'd like the running version just as much! My date night is Friday night. Thursday night is my night to run with the kids.

Mike, you can drop me a line at 2dirtyshoes AT gmail dot com.

FastED, Of course all are welcome and as soon as I have a date nailed down we'll get the word out. I think an afternoon run followed food and beer is a great idea. Maybe we could make it a Fat Ass run with the PI "unsanctioned" race idea.

I was just checking the Unbreakable site a few days ago and lamenting that they didn't have any SLC screenings on the calendar. Would love to see it here. I am happy to help, if you need any!
