I know how you feel as I went through the exact same experience at Buffalo Run 100 this year. It sucks. Yet you gutted it out and still got the win. Congrats, it is well earned.junhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03483517319335792896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8233718949866996577.post-80987264073226419932013-05-10T16:01:18.959-06:002013-05-10T16:01:18.959-06:00Your race reports are some of the best I read thro...Your race reports are some of the best I read throughout the year. I love your writing.

Congrats on another great race. I'm excited if I can finish 10 HOURS after that time. I have had this theory that if you spend you...Jay,
I have had this theory that if you spend your energy reserve at any point in a hundred miler, you pay a penalty, sort of like making an early withdrawal from your 401K. For most people that lands them in a chair spent, in some sort of distress, in debt that is hard to recover from. You amazingly ran the entire last climb, spent no more than a minute or two in the aid stations, and continued to jog when most would have walked. That was inspiring to see, and leads me to think that the great hundred mile runners have strong minds and strong stomachs. Congrats on a great run.
Peter
peterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08483315465154205525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8233718949866996577.post-7728922383417669212013-05-04T20:52:35.705-06:002013-05-04T20:52:35.705-06:00Gutsy run, well done re-cap.
